This handmade and handcrafted Japanese Suribachi (or grinding bowl) mortar and natural wood pestle set. This pottery/ ceramic grinding bowl has a beautiful deep dark brownish black and comes with a natural wooden pestle. The bowl is approximately 5-inch diameter and 3.25 inches tall, making it the perfect size for most grinding tasks. With a traditional design and what appears to be of Japanese origin (faintly marked underneath). Grinding bowl is dishwasher safe and includes a lip for easy pestle placement and pouring from bowl.
