Both pieces are HEAVY and well-proportioned. The mortar's color and ring are identical to English Ironstone, but it lacks a maker's mark. The pestle has a very tiny infinity symbol near the top, a traditional glassmaker's mark representing the two states—molten liquid and non-crystalline solid.
